Prabakar Sundaramurthy

da'Vida Beach Club

Prabakar Sundaramurthy, or "Chef Prabu", is the Head Chef at da' Vida Beach Club.  He is a kind and talented chef, with a great sense of humor and passion for carving.

Drawing on his love of Asian cuisine, Sundaramurthy continually develops recipes that incorporate a fusion of Asian and international cuisine and bring a culinary twist to his dishes. He recently reimagined the menu for the new da'Vida Beach Club and will be leading the re-opening of the main, fine-dining restaurant soon.

A graduate of Pondicherry institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology,  Sundaramurthy has traveled extensively throughout his career, creating diverse and international cuisine in restaurants around the world. 

After graduation, he expanded his knowledge in kitchens within the South Indian city of Tamil Nadu and the coastal city of Andhra Pradesh, and was promoted to Commis Chef within his first year. For two years he worked in the inflight dining and catering industry, before relocating to Singapore to continue in the role of Commis Chef. Two years later he was invited to move to Bahrain where he served as Kitchen Manager and Senior Chef de Partie, assisting the Sous Chef and Head Chef for seven more years. He joined da'Vida Beach Club in 2019.
