Boisset La Famille des Grands Vins
Founded in 1961 by an 18-year-old Jean-Claude Boisset in the heart of Burgundy, Boisset La Famille des Grands Vins has evolved from a youthful vision in Vougeot into a premier global wine power. After establishing a strong European export presence by the 1970s, the family expanded through the 1980s and 90s, diversifying into spirits and sparkling wines while deepening their roots in the Beaujolais, Languedoc, and Rhône Valley regions. The turn of the millennium marked a bold leap into California and the acquisition of prestigious estates like Domaine Maire & Fils in the Jura. Today, Jean-Claude’s children, Jean-Charles and Nathalie, continue this legacy of growth, extending the family’s reach to include notable vineyards such as Gabriel Meffre in the Rhône, Mommessin and Château de Pierreux in Beaujolais, and Villa Moncigale in Provence.
