Currently crafting cocktails at Sandbar Restaurant, bartender Kelly Hodge brings a blend of technical precision and creative flair to the Anguilla bar scene. A graduate of the Carlos Slim Foundation’s bartending program, Hodge honed his craft at local favorites like Tasty’s, Zemi Beach House and Aurora Anguilla Resort before finding his current home behind the bar at Sandbar.
He thrives on the energy of a fast-paced service and the opportunity to evoke happiness and surprise through every glass.
For Hodge, bartending is about more than just a pour, it’s about the “story” behind the drink and the connection made with guests from around the globe, “I believe bartending is important becasue it goes beyond serving drinks. It is about creating experiences, emotions and memorable moments for guests.”
His favorite drink is his signature cosmo that perfectly captures his style: a sophisticated, balanced blend of lemon, vanilla, and fresh blueberries.
Outside of bartending, Hodge completed studies in both marketing and architecture at the Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic.
