Jomal "Chef Balotelli" believes that food should not only look good, but also taste good and say "I love you" in every bite.
He got his start working in his mother's food truck before moving on to master pasta from scratch as a line cook at Dolce Vita. Later he applied his skills as a line cook at Cap Juluca, a Belmond Hotel, where he oversaw all room service orders, before moving to his current position as Head Chef at Anguilla's Trattoria Tramonto.
Although he earned his place as a member of the Anguilla National Culinary Team in 2015, Hurricane Irma and the pandemic postponed his opportunity to compete internationally. This hasn't stopped him from competing with himself, however. He continues to push to become better and better, whether he's cooking everyday fare such as rice and curry, or preparing the perfect steak.
