Nathalie Le Sénéchal

Manager

Grands Vins de France, Anguilla

Nathalie Le Sénéchal is the Manager of Anguilla’s premier wine shop and distributor, Grands Vins de France and Gold Sponsor of ACE.

Nathalie’s passion for wine is not inherently terroir-based. She started her career in the 1980’s when women working in the wine industry was rare, and although she grew up in Brittany, France, the region wasn’t known for winemaking. After earning her diploma, she faced a tight, local job market and decided to embark on a new adventure in Anguilla. Nathalie joined the then newly opened Grands Vins de France in 1994 and has never looked back.

Located in Lower South Hill, the beautiful shop showcases a wide variety of French rosés, Champagnes, white and red wines, in addition to wines from California, Australia, South America and other countries. Nathalie and her staff travel around the world to find new additions. There’s also a wide selection of top shelf liquors, spirits and unique serving items. Travelers and residents are encouraged to stop in for recommendations, to see what’s new and for special tasting events throughout the year.

In addition to the retail shop, Nathalie and Grand Vins de France supply the island’s 5-star resorts and hotels, luxury villas and bespoke restaurants with the best wines available in Anguilla.

If you’re in the mood for something special or just want to know what wine pairs best with Anguilla’s lobster-like crayfish, local Mahi-Mahi or even goat, she’s the one to ask. Her passion for wine is contagious and her approach is never pretentious. As Nathalie says, “I want to share my knowledge with whomever wants to learn more about wine.”

In her spare time, Nathalie is an avid golfer. She was the winner of the inaugural Duke of Edinburgh Cup Anguilla qualifier in 2022. She went on to represent Anguilla in the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Final in the UK later that year, including playing on two of the world’s most prestigious golf courses, Wentworth and Berkshire. Nathalie also took home first place for the Club Championship 2024.
